If you want to start with goal setting, just start. Start by writing out some of your goals and planning for your future. You may want to look through the category section I have on goal setting. I plan to release a small interactive program designed to teach goal setting in early August, so stay tuned for that.

I just recently found your site through the Now Habit Mailing list. I really like what I have read thus far. I do have a question. I am trying to add goal setting to my life (I have never done it before in my 34 years of life.) What are some books, authors, websites, etc. that you would recommend for someone to start developing a personal mission and goals? I recently read 7 Habits for the first time. There was a lot of good stuff in there that I am trying to implement, but I would like to see what other folks say also.

Come by my site sometime, especially if you are familiar with David Allen's Getting Things Done.

[...] What are the goals you have set for yourself? (You do set goals don’t you?) The goals you’ve set might be things like owning a house, having a certain income or getting into a certain position with your career. Your goals might be focused on your relationships, your health or your contribution. You have made decisions about exactly what you want to have in your life. [...]
