Adam,

Just wear a scarf! As I look out my room right now I'd say the temperature is going to be about -20 with a foot of snow. Don't let the weather hold you back (although you might want to keep your walks shorter...)

I love this post - such a great idea. I really like the idea of an events calendar. A lot of my friends have been having graduation recitals just recently, and the events calendar on Facebook has helped me keep track of that, and remind me when they are coming up.

Other ideas - pick a cd and just sit and listen to it all the way through. In todays world of ipods and other devices, rarely do people sit down and actually listen. Take an hour out and just sit and listen to a record in full.

(12) Have children.

I have a wife and four kids. Knowing what to do on my days off isn't too challenging. :) I usually have enough books and time-independent side projects going that I can fill up the time not occupied by family.

When I don't feel like doing *any* work, I catch up on movies or TV shows I haven't had the time to watch. I watch little TV during the week, so when I do get to veg out, it feels like a treat.

Great list Scott. I've used a few of these before (one job I had actually made sure we had a quarter day off a week, though we still did 55hrs, but it was nice).

I think one of my faves is 6. Generally, my days off get a bit of a slow portion, but it's rare that I get a whole day to just relax. I think this is one I'll really have to try out . . . though the walking might wait until the summer when it's not -20 with 20cm of snow :)

Cheers!
