I already eat relatively healthy and networking is very intimidating, so I'll try for something in the middle, like setting up a morning ritual. I've added "get up efore 7am" to my goals list. I'd second the bit about audio books, I struggle to read more than I book a month, but listen to at least one a week on my Ipod. That shift alone changed my life about 5 years ago. On the self-development thing I'd like to add my agreement because if anybody is thinking "How can I do this" they probably have it wrong. Don't think how, think who. "Who can help me do this" and it shifts the emphasis and often removes the feeling of overwhelm and loneliness. I freind of mine (author John Strelecky) calls the former 'Mad How Disease' 99.99% of the time somebody has done what we want to do, so ask them how they did it!
