Michael,

I've actually used that one myself. Not sure how it works (or if it's just a placebo) but it can be spooky...

Very nice. Dugg...

New music helps me...as does a nice brisk walk....or talking it out with someone.

Some folks like Tim Ferriss like an information diet as a means to provide better, more focused decisions.

As simple as it sounds, changing the questions, changes your focus.

Asking yourself, why do I suck is different than asking, what did I learn ... or asking why can't I figure this out is different than asking, how would I figure that out ... etc.

Numbers help too. For example, what are three things you enjoyed today?

Asking better questions, gets better results.

Allowing thoughts to flow is a great tip. More often we try to suppress our thoughts, which is a lot like trying to hold down buoys in water. You can only hold down so many before they pop up and you lose control of all of them. It's counterintuitive but allowing yourself to think something allows you to think less about it.

As for changing your posture, maybe a better way to change your stance is to just smile. By smiling, you evoke positive feelings. It may seem a bit strange to smile when you're down so try watching sitcoms.

Another quick trigger is happy music like The Temptation's "My Girl", Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline", or Journey's "Don't Stop Believing". It's just so hard not to sing along!

I laughed long and hard when I read the rules of the polar bear game. Good one man! And great article too, especially the part when you say to remove stress from bad experiences- too true!
