    I´ve been thinking about your post that mentioned financial indipendance as result of poverty, social independance as result of loneliness. I think the situation needs to be chosen, not resulting from situation to have any possible benefactory effects.

    Or not I wonder. Probably the general idea of positive effects due to wanting/lack of whatever stems originally from natural happenings. A good example is how heart attacks are on the rise in former Soviet sattelite states in E-Europe according to a tv documentary I saw. The people are richer on average but also more stressed. Richer in money but poorer in time.

    I wouldn’t say financial independence is the result of poverty. But I do believe that it is a way of getting out of dependency. It’s just one path, albeit a straightforward one.
