On the slide "quick start edition" you have Leo Babuata instead of Babauta.

On the slide "total package" you have the name spelled correctly.

Excuse my own misspelling in the last post.

The only reason I complained about the audio was that I was having trouble understanding it.

Cheers,
Daniel

Daniel,

I did the audio for information purposes, not the goal of perfect recording quality. So, perhaps the quality isn't perfect, but the information content is the real goal. I'll admit though, perhaps the design quality of the pdf exceeds the design quality of the audio.

Where did I misspell Leo's name? The correct spelling is Babauta (not the other two you mention), but I can't find any place where I've misspelled it.

Scott,

I just read the excerpt from your book and was impressed. Before buying it, however, I wanted to get as much information on the book as possible, so I stumbled upon this page and had look at the "video":

1) how come the audio quality is so poor? (The last time I've heard something of this quality was from someone trying to eliminate the chance of audio recognition, but I assume this will not be the case here, since we all know who you are ;-) )

2) You misspelled Leo Baubauta (Leo Babuata)

Thanks Iair,

I'll be posting little snippets of content from the main book during the week. It's not a substitute for the book, but a way of leaking a few of the ideas down to everyone else.

Congrats!
As a reader and consumer of your products, you can see how a reader (who might not buy from you) can influence others to buy your products, I´ve just got my brother-in-law to buy this ebook!

Question,

Typically I spend between 1-2 hours per article. Some of my shorter pieces only take me about 45 minutes, and the longest articles on the site have often taken over 3 hours. So, if you could only my blog writing (which is only a small fraction of the resources to run this website) I probably have over 1500 hours of writing effort.

Ads, in my experience, are one of the lousiest ways to monetize a blog. First, they are distracting from the core content and are often for products I neither endorse nor recommend. Second, they require a high volume of traffic, instead of a stable readership, which this blog aims for. Finally, if someone is going to take up your attention span to sell something, I'd rather it be either myself or someone whose content I know and trust.

I think, in many cases, advertising creates a disconnect between the core values of the writer and their need to make money. If I, for example, don't believe in ineffective health supplements, why should I abuse my readership to sell them advertising on such products just to get a small percentage of that revenue?

How long does it take you to write a post/article?
Do you finish each in one session or do you work little by little on them?

And another question: why don't you have ads on your page? Won't they help supplement your income?

Thank you and the new book looks great.
