As some of you probably already know I am attending university in the fall, and it looks like that time has come. I’ll be moving during the next few days so I might not get time to write a blog entry during this period. I’m really excited to explore all the new opportunities that come with this new stage in my life and I’m sure it will provide many more ideas for personal development that I can share with you.
My adventures have already begun as I have been in contact with a few people from Toastmasters and I think I’ll be visiting three different clubs in my first week or two. I am emphasizing extreme variety in my early experiences with university so I think I’ll stick with just one club initially, but Toastmasters has been such a positive experience for me I may join other clubs when I feel like focusing more on my vertical growth.
According to Google Analytics I get a fair amount of traffic from the Winnipeg area. I am attending University of Manitoba and living in residence and I think I would like to take a page from Ben Casnocha [1]‘s book and go out and meet some of you interesting people. If you are in the Winnipeg area or you are going to be in Winnipeg sometime in the next few months don’t hesitate to send me an e-mail [2], I’m always up for good conversation.
I’ve got a huge to-do list corresponding with my move so brace with me if my blogging is sporadic over the first week or two. The large amount of challenges and opportunities I will be taking on should give me enough material to work with to ensure the posts I do write are some of my best. Wish me luck, I have to go pack up all my worldy belongings.
