You can use them
to design replicas of almost anything. Anything from the Washington
Monument to the Louvre in Paris could be made with the blocks,
albeit a little smaller.

The idea behind LEGO is that you can create models of complex things
using simple components.

I want to suggest you should take the same approach when learning.

In my free holistic learning ebook, I talk about creating models:

https://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/Programs/HolisticLearningEBook.pdf

Models are essentially representations of abstract concepts in
smaller, more easily-assembled versions.

A metaphor can be a model for something. If I’m studying the
properties of atoms, I could view them as being like tiny solar
systems, with a central nucleus and orbiting electrons.

Here the metaphor forms my model since it takes the abstract idea
and puts it into something I can imagine more readily.

Getting Crazy with LEGO

With your building blocks, you don’t need to stop with simple
representations. As you get better, you can create more complex
buildings that better represent what you’re trying to study.

You can do the same when building learning models.

You don’t need to stop with a simple metaphor, you can enhance it
to include more elements, bringing more ideas together into one
mental representation.

How do you do this? Well that’s the subject of the guide Advanced
Metaphors: Using Stories

You can download the guide by going to the CONTENT section under
MONTH 6:

https://scotthyoung.com/members/?page_id=42

Hey, In this email: 1.
