The Ultimate Training Guide

If one thing can be said about Learning on Steroids members,
it is that we’re a diverse group. I have PhD students, high
school seniors, self-educators and teachers all enrolled
across dozens of different disciplines.

This can make it challenging when offering advice because the
tactics that a disorganized college sophomore should train
will be completely different than the stressed A+ high-school
student or the person teaching himself computer programming.

My solution was to offer a guide to training itself.

I’ll keep offering learning tactics and productivity tools
(and indeed, I have some great ones coming up). But, a guide
to training offers something else: how to diagnose your
situation as a learner, figure out what to train and how to
do it.

Part of your starter package is an in-depth guide to
training within the program. With it, you’ll be able to:

1. Figure out which tactics will work best for you.
2. Have several options for training (especially if you are short
on time)
3. Learn my methods for self-improvement which can be applied
outside the program itself.

I love the 30-Day Trial method, I won’t lie.

I’ve used it to master speed-reading, start exercising, learn
a foreign language and dozens of other tasks.

However, one thing I’ve learned in running this program is that you
need more options. For some of you, the 30DT method is too
cumbersome to really experiment with the ideas. For others, the 30DT
method won’t fit in your schedule.

So, as you’ll read in the guide, I’ve put together two other
options to stay in the program and train. If you have less time
and can’t keep up with a full 30DT, pay attention, because they
will allow you to keep participating in the program:

2. Stopwatch Challenges

these two new approaches.

Some of you have already finished training one tactic and would like
to know what to work on next?

You essentially have two options:

1. You can pick a completely DIFFERENT tactic to train. You may
have had a few things you wanted to work on.

2. You can build MASTERY in one tactic. Try stepping your trial up
a notch. If you got in through the Video Course, you’ll be able
to get advanced ideas for taking the basic tactics further. If
