Ass-Kicking Email – Stop reading, start doing

Hey,

The skills and habits that let you learn rapidly and achieve more
don’t just implement themselves. As you already know, reading guides
and watching videos isn’t enough. You need to take action.

If you just signed up last week and are still sifting through the
content, now is the perfect time to begin.

Your first “mission” I’m giving in this course is to set a 30-Day
Trial to focus on *one* of the tactics in the guide that you want
to implement over the next month. Next I want you to make a short
new post about it in the forums:

Why am I giving you work?

Because I know you made the investment into this course for a reason
and I know that reason wasn’t just to scan my emails and hear my
voice. You actually want results.

There’s always a gap between thinking about ideas and actually doing
them. By taking on this mission (because homework is way too dreary)
you’ll be able to cross that gap and start making huge improvements.

Why am I insisting you write about it in the forums?

Because when people work together on ideas, there are synergies.
In the past when doing these trials, we had dozens of members each
making great suggestions to each other. That meant that after
posting the person walked away not only more motivated, but with
tools and tricks that she hadn’t thought of before.

But look, I really don’t believe in the “do as I say, not as I do”
approach to life, so I’m not going to be sitting around either.

I’ve set my own 30-Day Trials and I wanted to walk you through
exactly what I’m doing to implement some improvements to my own
productivity system.

Several times in this course I’ve done documentation of my 30-Day
Trials in this course. You can check out my latest one here:
