Today I’m going to talk about what it takes to make permanent changes to your learning and working habits.
First, Learning on Steroids is Now Open
But first, let me announce that Learning on Steroids is now open. To sign up, find out more details, or hear stories from actual members who have gone through the program, click here:

The program only costs $14, and with that you get a weekly email, several guides illustrating new tactics not mentioned in this bootcamp, audio interviews with people like author Cal Newport and language-expert Benny Lewis.
In addition there are also video walkthroughs of the tactics, so you can see exactly how they’re applied. We’ll also be doing a live workshop at the end of the month, so you can get feedback and advanced lessons.
The program is monthly, with future months billed at the same price, but I’ve packed in content so that you can get a great deal of value even if you just want to stay for one month. There are twelve months in total and, once you’ve signed up, you can purchase the remaining months’ content immediately if you don’t want to wait.
If you’re curious to see what’s inside, I explain all the details on the sign-up page:

How to Make Your Habits Stick
Throughout this bootcamp I’ve sent you several ideas for improving how you learn. Hopefully you also followed the exercises and maybe learned a few new tricks for becoming more productive.
Unfortunately, learning faster isn’t something that you can overhaul in a week. It’s not about just using one or two tricks, but about having good habits. Good habits happen when you build them consistently over a longer period of time.
The reason I built Learning on Steroids as a monthly program was so that members could get continuous support, feedback and practice so that you can actually build lifelong habits. Self-improvement isn’t something best done at a weekend seminar or a bootcamp, but as a continual process of growth.
The Method to Change Your Habits
The key to building lifelong habits is to focus on them. In the program, we use the 30-day trial method to force a focus on one particular learning skill each month.
In this bootcamp I’ve given you several new ideas and that’s just a tiny fraction of the changes you can make to become more productive.
Unfortunately, even with such a small fraction of the ideas, many of you might have already felt a bit overwhelmed. That’s a side-effect of teaching ideas in such a short time frame–it’s motivating in the short-term, but often not the best for building long-term habits.
A better approach is to get a lot of ideas, pick the best ones and systematically implement them, but also to have reminders and feedback so you don’t lose motivation a few weeks later.
That’s the system I’ve built with Learning on Steroids. Not only will you get a ton of ideas up front, you’ll also get ass-kicking emails as reminders and new content so you can stay motivated for longer.
Because, in the end, it’s having good habits, not just good ideas, that counts.
ACTION STEP: Day Seven
You’ve been following this bootcamp and taking action on the steps involved. Now’s the time to take the next step further and join Learning on Steroids.

If you’re still on the fence, keep in mind there’s absolutely no risk in trying it out. The program comes with a 60-day guarantee, and I won’t take offense if you need a refund because it’s not a good fit.
The program also works even if you’re not a student. The content is the same style as this bootcamp material, so if you’ve been finding the last week helpful then Learning on Steroids will be very similar. I’ve tried as much as possible to focus on the core of what makes learning and productivity “work” and not on tricks that only work in academia.
If you’ve already bought one of my books, keep in mind the content in Learning on Steroids is different. Learn More, Study Less covers a similar philosophy, but this program is much newer, so I’ve been able to update it with new methods and with walkthroughs to master some of the ideas you may be familiar with.
I also understand many of you might be worried about the time commitment of a program like this. My goal was to make the time investment minimal, mostly by integrating the tactics as much as possible into the work you already do. Many members have reported drastic time savings from the process, so I believe the program can be a good choice, even if you feel a bit pressed for time.
