As some of you probably already know I am attending university in the fall, and it looks like that time has come. I’ll be moving during the next few days so I might not get time to write a blog entry during this period. I’m really excited to explore all the new opportunities that come with this new stage in my life and I’m sure it will provide many more ideas for personal development that I can share with you.
My adventures have already begun as I have been in contact with a few people from Toastmasters and I think I’ll be visiting three different clubs in my first week or two. I am emphasizing extreme variety in my early experiences with university so I think I’ll stick with just one club initially, but Toastmasters has been such a positive experience for me I may join other clubs when I feel like focusing more on my vertical growth.
According to Google Analytics I get a fair amount of traffic from the Winnipeg area. I am attending University of Manitoba and living in residence and I think I would like to take a page from Ben Casnocha‘s book and go out and meet some of you interesting people. If you are in the Winnipeg area or you are going to be in Winnipeg sometime in the next few months don’t hesitate to send me an e-mail, I’m always up for good conversation.
I’ve got a huge to-do list corresponding with my move so brace with me if my blogging is sporadic over the first week or two. The large amount of challenges and opportunities I will be taking on should give me enough material to work with to ensure the posts I do write are some of my best. Wish me luck, I have to go pack up all my worldy belongings.

I'm a recent university graduate, writer, programmer, traveler and avid reader of interesting things. For the last six years I've been experimenting to find out how to get more from life.
Good luck, Scott!
All the best Scott and have loads of fun!! I will be waiting here…
Thanks Eric and Gleb.
Hi Scott. Good luck with school. I suggest that you watch this Ken Robinson video; he has many great insights about education.

In fact, all the videos at TED.com are worth watching.
The ones by Majora Carter and Cameron Sinclair are highlights.
Good luck with the university, I hope you have a good time learning!
Thanks Zach
